Biography

2004: Aiello earned all-conference recognition for the second year in a row. He was named Ithaca’s Outstanding Specialist after the season-opening win over Buffalo State and again following the Brockport and Alfred games. Aiello put 18 of his 33 punts inside the 20-yard line (including four of six at Alfred and three of four against Buffalo State) and 11 of his kicks were fair caught. His longest punt was a 54-yard kick at St. John Fisher. He averaged a season-high 44.7 yards per kick in that game.

2003:
Aiello took over as Ithaca’s punter and earned first-team Empire 8 all-star honors and received honorable mention to the ECAC all-star team. He was named Ithaca’s Outstanding Specialist after the St. Lawrence win and following both Brockport victories. Only 17 of his 47 punts were returned. Aiello averaged a season-best 44.9 yards per kick in the regular-season win over Brockport and posted averages of 40.0 yards per kick or better in four other wins. He put four of six kicks inside the 20 in the St. John Fisher win.

2002: Aiello handled Ithaca’s placekicking duties until a mid-season injury sidelined him for four games. He returned to see limited action in the season’s final four games. In his first game back, he was named the team’s Specialist of the Week after kicking an extra point and putting two of three kickoffs inside the 10-yard line against Utica.  Aiello converted three of four extra-point attempts against Alfred in his collegiate debut and started the season four for five. He recorded three tackles, including a solo stop on a Buffalo State kickoff return.

High School: At Allegany Limestone High School, Aiello was coached by Mike Wilber.

Personal: The son of James and Cynthia Aiello, he is a secondary education major.
