Biography

2005-06: Donaldson was a two-time all-conference performer, earning first-team honors in the 200-yard medley relay and second-team honors in the 100-yard backstroke, and was named the Empire 8 Sportsperson of the Year. Her time of 1:01.67 in the 100-yard backstroke at the NYSWCAA/Empire 8 Championships was good for 10th on the Bombers’ all-time list. Donaldson recorded eight top-three finishes in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and was in the top 10 in both events at the state championships, placing sixth and eighth (2:15.56), respectively. She also placed 16th at the state championships in the 50-yard freestyle (26.19) and finished the season sixth in points (178.00). Donaldson was a NYSWCAA all-academic team selection.
 
2004-05: Donaldson was an All-NYSCTC qualifier in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, as well as the 200-yard medley relay. She was also Empire 8 runner-up in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard medley relay. A backstroke specialist, Donaldson came on strong towards the end of her freshman season, winning the 100-yard backstroke twice, versus Alfred and William Smith. She was also a member of a victorious 200-yard medley relay team.
 
2003-04: Donaldson, a first team Empire 8 all-star, was a member of the state- and conference-champion 200-yard medley relay team that swam an NCAA B qualifying time of 1:50.35. That time was an Empire 8 championship meet record. At the conference and state meets she finished third in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events in 1:02.15 and 2:14.52, respectively. She also finished fifth in the conference in the 50-yard freestyle (26.33). Donaldson won the 100-yard backstroke in dual meets vs. Alfred and William Smith. She won her first career race in the 200-yard backstroke against Rensselaer.
 
High School: A 2003 graduate of Penfield High School, Donaldson was coached by Donna Johnson. She was a four-year letter winner as a member of the swimming & diving team and served as team captain her senior year. Donaldson was also a two-year letter winner in lacrosse.
 
Personal: An occupational therapy major, she is the daughter of Mark and Linda Donaldson.
