Biography

2003-04: Sellers recorded two top-10 finishes at the state meet, placing eighth in the 100-yard butterfly (54.38) and ninth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.69). At the conference meet he finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly, eighth in the 100-yard butterfly and 12th in the 50-yard freestyle (22.69). He swam a career-best time of 53.63 in the prelims of the 50-yard freestyle at states, which ranks 11th all-time at Ithaca. Sellers was named to the UNYSCSA all-academic team and the Empire 8 Presidents’ List in the fall and spring.

2002-03: Sellers finished sixth on the team with 260 points. He was a member of the 200-yard medley relay that won conference and state titles in 1:35.64, ranking second all-time at Ithaca. Sellers was also a member of the winning 400-yard medley relay (3:31.07) at the conference meet and finished runner-up at the state meet. At the state meet, Sellers finished 10th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.99), 11th in the 100-yard butterfly (54.24) and 13th in the 200-yard I.M. (2:02.67). He placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly and seventh in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard I.M. at the conference meet.

2001-02: Sellers recorded the team’s second-best time of 54.34 in the 100-yard butterfly, placing seventh in the conference. He also placed eighth in the conference in the 200-yard I.M.

High School: At Hempfield Area High School he was a four-year letter winner for coach Kevin Clougherty.

Personal: A biology major, he is the son of Gary and Frannie Sellers.
