Biography

2005: Malcolm was among the Bombers top competitors in the balance beam and floor exercise. She earned all-conference accolades on the balance beam by placing fifth at the ECAC Championships (9.475).  Malcolm posted a career-high score of 9.500 on the balance beam on two separate occasions. The first time was at Ithaca’s Harriett Marranca Memorial Invitational, where won the event, and the second occasion was at the NCGA Championships. Her best score in the floor exercise was a 9.575. Malcolm was named to the NCGA Academic Team.

2004: Malcolm missed six competitions in mid-season but rebounded to score a career-high 9.488 at nationals in the balance beam. She placed eighth in that event, missing all-America honors by just two spots. Her top score in the floor exercise, 9.075, came against Brockport in the season opener.

2003: Malcolm opened the season with a first-place finish in the floor exercise, posting a score of 9.500 at the MIT Invitational. She recorded scores of 9.1 in the vault and a 9.2 in the balance beam at that event. She achieved a top score of 9.375 on the balance beam, good for 14th at the ECAC championships.

2002: In her first season Malcolm recorded an all-time top-five score in the floor exercise (9.600 at Springfield triangular). She received all-ECAC honors for a fifth-place finish at the conference meet. On the balance beam she recorded a career-high 9.4 at the Marranca Invitational, placing fifth overall. At the ECAC meet she placed 17th on the beam with a 9.05.

High School: Malcolm competed for coach Darrell Bogkins at Golden Bear Gymnastics. In 1999 she competed in the USA regionals and in 2001 she competed in the USAIGC nationals.

Personal: A television-radio major, she is the daughter of David and DeAnna Malcolm.
