Ithaca College Athletics

2004-05: Keib made his second straight trip to the NCAA Championships after being selected as a wild card following his runner-up performance at the ECWC championship meet. He placed at two other tournaments, opening the season with a second-place finish at the Ithaca Invitational and taking sixth at Buffalo’s UB Open. Keib recorded three wins, including one by technical fall, at the Budd Whitehill National Duals. He finished third on the team in takedowns and fourth in points.

 

2003-04: Keib earned his first trip to nationals by winning the 174-pound weight class at the ECWC meet. He won his opening round at the NCAA Championships (stretching his winning streak to eight) before being eliminated by the second and fifth seeds. Keib received the program’s Jim Howard Most Improved Award after doubling his win total from his freshman season. He earned all-state honors with a third-place showing at the New York State Championships. He finished the season ranked third on the team in wins, takedowns and points.

2002-03: Keib placed at three tournaments, with his highest finish (third) coming at the Roger Williams Invitational. He took fourth at Millersville and fifth at the RIT Invitational. Keib led Ithaca’s freshmen with 43 takedowns and was third among the team’s first-year wrestlers with 14 wins. He won both of his bouts in dual-match competition.

High School: A Section III runner-up while wrestling at G. Ray Bodley High School, he was coached by Mike Connors.

Personal: An economics major, he is the son of Douglas Keib.
