Biography

2004-05: Alvarez placed sixth at Buffalo’s UB Open, where his performance included a win over an opponent from Division I Michigan. He wrestled three times at the Budd Whitehill National Duals, helping the Bombers win the team championship.
 
2003-04: Alvarez wrestled in three competitions, including the state championships.
 
2002-03: Alvarez finished fourth at the ECWC Championships. He was a place-winner at two other tournaments, recording a third-place finish at Millersville’s Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic and taking fourth at the Roger Williams Invitational.
 
2001-02: Alvarez sat out the season as a redshirt.
 
High School: At Grapevine High School, Alvarez was coached by Steve Willis.
 
Personal: An business major, he is the son of Elvia Alvarez. His brother, Alejandro, wrestled for Cornell.
