2020-21: Gersec played in all five events for IC during the abbreviated spring season…named Liberty League First-Team and All-Academic…earned Liberty League Golfer of the Week on April 19…Liberty League Rookie of the Week on May 3…finished the season with an 87.8 scoring average in eight rounds…tied for first at the Ithaca Invitational with an 81 (+9)…finished in a tie for second at the Central NY Spring Invite (80 +8) and at the Liberty League Championships at Turning Stone with a two-day total of 173 (+29)…carded an 88 and 85 at the Liberty League Championships…at the NCAA Championships at Forest Akers in Lansing, Mich., Gersec shot an 86 (+14) in the opening round.

High School: Gersec was a four year member of the varsity women’s golf team during her high school career and was named captain her senior year. Gersec and her team complied a three-year record of 39-1 and were named league champions three years in a row. She qualified for her sectional tournaments three years consecutively placing 7
th, 5
th and 4
th. She than advanced to qualify for the NYSPHSAA State Championships at Bethpage Yellow and Deerfield CC three years in a row. Gersec also competed in MET PGA Junior Tour events, achieving two first place and top three finishes. She competed in her county championships placing third overall.
Personal: Mary is in Ithaca's Fine Arts program and the daughter of Kelly and Peter Gersec.
