High School: A 2016 graduate of Fairport High, Szembrot competed for the Rochester Gymnastics Academy. She was a four-time Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier from 2013–2016 under coaches Barry and Youlia Coss.
 
Personal: A biology major, she is the daughter of Joe and Nancy Szembrot.
