2017-18: Finished 8th in the 50 freestyle (21.72) at the Liberty League Championship... Also finished 9th overall in he 100 freestyle (48.02)... Part of the 200 freestyle relay team which took second place at Liberty Leagues in 1:24.20... Also part of the 400 freestyle relay team that took second in 3:07.71... Earn All-Liberty League Second-Team honors in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays... Named to the All-Liberty League Winter All-Academic Team.

2016-17: Swam freestyle and backstroke for the Bombers... On the winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:05.65) at UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championship... Part of the 200 freestyle relay team which took second at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championship with a time of 1:24.16.

High School: A graduate of Deerfield High School, Scanlan was coached by John Sullivan for four years, earning three varsity letters. Team captain his senior year, he also qualified for states senior year in the 200 medley relay. While at Deerfield, he also played baseball and football.
 
Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Tom Scanlan and Melissa Pontikes.
