9/6/2026 6:10:00 PM

RESULTS

The Ithaca College cross country teams hosted the 38th annual Jannette Bonrouhi-Zakaim Memorial Alumni 5k run in the trails behind the Ithaca Soccer and Softball fields. Alumni from both the track and cross country programs came back to reconnect with the program and compete in a lighthearted competition.

The men's team was led by sophomore Griffin Lupes who was the overall winner of the race. He ran 16:50, beating the next finisher by nearly a minute. After Lupes took a wrong turn early, he rallied back to the front of the pack en route to the victory.

The top five was rounded out by junior Colin Lesher who ran 17:49, sophomore Felix Farrugia, sophomore Luke Ferrer, and first-year Kam Stevenson.
The top male alumni was Drew Taylor '25. Taylor ran 18:31 to place eighth in the race. Taylor took home All-Region honors in cross country and outdoor track his senior year at Ithaca.

The top finisher in the women's division was junior Hannah Pawlowski who clocked a time of 20:47. The women alumni had a strong showing, with three runners in the top five. Kyla Eisman '25, finished third with a time of 21:35. Eisman qualified for the NCAA National Championship in cross country during the 2023 season for the Bombers.

Maggie Nickerson '20 and Jess Goode '26 took fourth and fifth place respectfully in the women's division.

Both cross country squads will stay close to home for their first official competition of the season when they take on Cornell and Cortland in a Tri-Meet 5k at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at 6 p.m. this upcoming Friday. Â
