RESULTS
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Ithaca College golf program traveled outside the state over the weekend, September 26-27, to compete in the Williams Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Course. Ithaca finished 12th out of 15 teams in the tournament that featured nine nationally ranked schools.
A total of 74 golfers were in action over the weekend on the par-71, 5826-yard course. No. 5 Middlebury edged out No. 8 Wiliams by a stroke for the team title, 598 to 599, while No. 7 Amherst placed third with 611.
Ithaca shot 656 (+88) over the weekend with rounds of 329 (+45) on Saturday and 327 (+43) on Sunday.
Brianna Morrison was the top performer for Ithaca as she tied for 12th with a two-round total of 153 (+11). Morrison started the weekend with a 74 (+3) on Saturday, which was within the top five, as she made two birdies with 12 pars. On Sunday, she shot 79 (+8) and holed four more birdies.
Abby Bladen tied for 44th with 164 (+22) as she shot 84 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday with one birdie over the two days.
Annelise Stencel was two shots back of Bladen in a tie for 47th with 166 (+24) with rounds of 82 and 84 and one birdie.
Helena Winterberg tied for 61st with a 174 (+32) and one birdie on the weekend, while
Hayden Homann was 68th with 181 (+39).
The Bombers conclude their fall season at the Hamilton Invitational on October 3-4.
