ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team was back in action on Sunday hosting RPI as the Engineers were able to come away with a 4-3 Liberty League win.
The Bombers earned the doubles point earning the win at No. 3 along with seeing
Luis Crespo and
Ivan Kisic take down the No. 2 pair of Debarshi Sen and Gustave Viennet by a set score of 6-2.
Samuel Lopez-Cardenas won by default at No. 6 singles and the Engineers swung momentum at the bottom half of the lineup coming out on top in a three set match. Viennet defeated
Carlos Hernandez (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) and Felix Puyplat was able to take down
Alex Mazza by set scores of 6-4, 6-4. The No. 2 matchup between
Ivan Kisic and Tasmay Shah was back and forth with Shah prevailing 6-3, 7-6.
The other singles win for IC came via
Luis Crespo who scored a 6-3, 6-1 win over Debarshi Sen. Next up, the Bombers will square off against Union College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25.
