Men’s Tennis Win Third Match in a Row

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team traveled to Clark University on Thursday for a non-conference matchup. The Bombers in the midst of their Spring Break bested Clark University 5-2 to improve to 5-1 overall and have won three matches in a row.
 
The Cougars earned the doubles point taking the matches at No. 1 and No. 2. In the third flight, Ithaca's Ivan Kisic and Samuel Lopez-Cardenas were able to win their matchup over Benjamin Liu and Sai Chanda by a 6-1 score.
 
Luis Crespo continued his strong spring season as he got Ithaca on the board winning at No. 3 singles by set scores of 6-4 and 6-3. The Bombers would then take the 2-1 lead when Samuel Lopez-Cardenas won at No. 6 singles over Ethan Montane by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
 
Clark University would take the singles matchup at No. 2, but Carlos Hernandez found a response by taking his match at No. 5, 6-4, 6-4 over Benjamin Liu. The Bombers would then see both Ivan Kisic and Siddharth Vaada win their respective matches in three sets. Kisic defeated Ziad Tabbara (0-6, 6-1, 6-1) and Siddharth Vaada would defeat Graham Ruso at No. 3 singles (6-7, 6-3, 6-1).
 
Next up, Ithaca will take on Brandeis University on the road on Friday. The matchup is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
