BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team added one more point to its total on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. Ithaca was tied for 33rd with Rochester at the time of this recap.
Rachel Larson accounted for the one point on Saturday as she placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.69 seconds. Larson qualified for the final with the fourth-fastest preliminary time to earn her third career All-America honor.
Lily Seyfert picked up another Second Team All-American award as she finished 15th in the shot put with a mark of 12.81 meters. Seyfert was in fifth through the first flight, but all 10 competitors in the second flight surpassed her top mark.
Madeleine Wright was also in action on Saturday and placed 17th in the high jump at 1.64 meters. Wright cleared 1.59 and 1.64 meters on her second try, but her championship came to an end at 1.67 meters.
With four total All-Americans this weekend, the IC women's track & field program now has 164 All-Americans in program history.
