BACK-TO-BACK! Women’s Track & Field Dominates at Liberty League Indoor Championship

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
For the second straight indoor season, the Ithaca College women's track & field team prevailed as Liberty League champions as the Bombers totaled 212 points to win the title by 48.67 points at RIT on Saturday.

Lily Seyfert was the highlight for IC on Saturday as she won the weight throw in a personal-best mark of 17.23 meters, which surpassed her previous best mark by over a meter and moved up inside the top 15 nationally.

Rachel Larson won the 60-meter hurdles in a meet and facility record time of 8.50 seconds, surpassing her prelim time yesterday of 8.52. Larson won the race by .37 seconds.

Aynisha McQuillar secured a first place performance in the 60-meter dash in a winning time of 7.72 seconds and Larson was fifth at 7.96 seconds.

Kayleigh Milligan took second in the 800-meter run as she crossed the finish line in 2:16.78.

Ithaca took four of the top six positions in the high jump as Madeleine Wright was the runner-up at 1.63 meters. Celia Ryan finished third at 1.58 meters and Cameron Ting came in fourth with a clearance of 1.53 meters. Lydia Barber also cleared 1.53 meters to place sixth.

IC's 4x400-meter relay of Ava Butler, Meredith Colla, Julia Ryba and Valentina Wallin claimed second in 4:05.65.

Three Bombers reached the podium in the triple jump as Alexis Brown was the top performer in third at 11.28 meters, while Eliana Barnett took fourth at 11.23 meters. Anneliese Hubbard placed eighth with a mark of 10.88 meters.

Three others reached the podium in the weight throw as Charlotte Powell was fourth at 15.22 meters, Enya Green finished seventh at 14.27 meters and Bianca Samedy took eighth at 13.99 meters.

McQuillar and Wallin placed fourth and fifth in the 200-meter dash in times of 26.16 and 26.24 seconds. Lola Gitlin and Hannah Pawlowski posted times of 10:18.15 and 10:21.09 in the 3000-meter run to place fifth and sixth.

Cecelia LaBonte and Ting went seventh and eighth in the 60 hurdles with times of 9.52 and 9.66 seconds.

Ithaca will head to New York City next weekend for the AARTFC Championships at the Armory.
