CLINTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf team wrapped up its fall season over the weekend at the Hamilton College Invitational on October 3-4 at the Rome Country Club, which is a par-72 course that measures 5683 yards.
Ithaca finished sixth out of 10 teams with a two-round score of 628 (+52), which was a stroke off the low score for the fall. Ithaca shot 315 on Saturday and 313 on Sunday.
Wellesley won the tournament with 610, while Hamilton placed second with 614. Susquehanna and Babson tied for third at 619, and Hamilton's 'B' team shot 624.
Helena Winterberg notched a top five finish with a 150 (+6) as she shot 77 on Saturday and carded a career-low round of 73 on Sunday. During her Saturday round, Winterberg holed three birdies on the back nine to shoot 34 and proceeded to card five more birdies on Sunday as she shot 37 on the front and 36 on the back.
Brianna Morrison placed 12th with a nine-over 153 rounds of 77 and 76 with five total birdies. Morrison fired a 35 on the front nine of Saturday's round to highlight her weekend.
Annelise Stencel tied for 21st with a 159 (+15) as she shot 77 on Saturday and 82 on Sunday. Stencel carded 11 pars and one birdie on Saturday and holed three birdies on Sunday.
Abby Bladen finished in a time for 33rd with 166 (+22) with an 84 and 82 as she highlighted her weekend with two birdies on Sunday.
Hayden Homann concluded her first semester with a 46th place finish with 176 (+32) and three birdies on Sunday.
