Women’s Track & Field Wins Seven Events at Home

ITHACA, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College women's track & field team hosted a Six Way Meet on Saturday inside Glazer Arena and finished the day with seven first place finishes.

Rachel Larson nearly matched her No. 1 time in Division III in the 60-meter hurdles as she won the race in 8.60 seconds.

Jessica Goode dominated the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:48.05, which was six seconds faster than the runner-up.

Lily Seyfert posted the top mark in the weight throw at 16.07 meters and in the shot put at 13.35 meters. Charlotte Powell measured out 12.39 meters in the shot put to follow in second and was fifth in the weight throw at 14.92 meters.

Ithaca overwhelmed the triple jump and pole vault on Saturday as the Bombers took the top five spots in the triple jump – Alexis Brown (first – 10.72 meters), Celia Ryan (second – 10.70), Grace Croft (third – 10.40), Anneliese Hubbard (fourth – 10.32) and Eliana Barnett (fifth – 10.22). IC also took the top five placements in the pole vault – Talia Hutchinson (first – 3.67 meters), Erin Eastwood (second – 3.62), Bree Boyle (third – 3.47), Raessler Guthrie (fourth – 3.32) and Teagan Kiger (fifth – 3.32).

The Bombers' distance medley relay of Anisah Edgehill-Geter, Kayleigh Milligan, Joy Petersen and Violet Sloan won the two-team race by nearly 50 seconds in a time of 13:21.36.

In the 800-meter run, Sloan secured the runner-up spot with a time of 2:21.97, while Milligan was third at 2:22.02 and Petersen finished fourth at 2:23.60.

Madeleine Wright and Ryan both cleared 1.59 meters in the high jump to finish in second and third.

Valentina Wallin was third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.50 seconds, while Larson took fourth in 26.63 and Cecelia LaBonte followed in fifth at 26.93.

Aynisha McQuillar posted a time of 7.80 seconds in the 60-meter dash, which was good for third overall.

IC entered two teams into the 4x200-meter relay and they finished in third and fourth. The 'B' relay of Wallin, Meredith Colla, Croft and Hubbard posted a time of 1:49.33, and the 'A' squad of Claudia Chong, Athena Giotis, Julia Ryba and Butler finished in 1:51.35.

Lyla Powers finished the mile in 5:53.70 to come in fourth overall. Cameron Ting was a fourth place finisher in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.46 seconds. Ting and LaBonte were fifth and sixth place performers in the long jump at 5.03 and 5.02 meters.

Ithaca hosts the annual Bomber Invitational next weekend, January 31 and February 1.
