ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming & diving team returned to action for the first time in the new year on Saturday afternoon. The Bombers hosted Hamilton College inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium for a dual in which the Continentals won by a team score of 172-128.
Junior
Samantha Bender led the way for the Bombers with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.65) and later anchored Ithaca to second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay. First year
Charlotte Barton captured the 100-yard freestyle (55.48), while sophomore
Sydney Koehler posted a pair of victories in the breaststroke, taking the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.93) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.68).
The Bomber divers were dominant throughout the afternoon. Junior
Emily Provost claimed the 1-meter dive (246.45), while first year
Madison Morris topped the field on the 3-meter board (271.05).
In relay action, Ithaca placed second in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
