Box Score SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team finished off the opening weekend of the 2025-26 Sunday as they competed in the final day of the Union Invitational that was held at the Union Tennis Courts.

The Bombers had junior Madeleine Sutro competing in the "B" final of the singles bracket. Sutro advanced to the final after defeating Elisa Iuri on Saturday as she squared off against Ariane Katera of St. Lawrence who ended up prevailing by set scores of 6-3, 6-2.
 
In doubles action, the Bombers had a pair of teams still in contention after winning their quarterfinal bouts on Saturday. In the top flight, Sabrina Cheung and Alys Pop battled the pair of Justine Stanejko and Samantha Ostrander who ended up prevailing in the semis by a score of 8-3. Ava Casell-Lapetina and Martina Nicora also were in the semifinals of the "B" flight but came up short and fell to Sarah Oldland and Elisa Iuri, 8-5.
 
Ithaca will return to action next weekend at William Smith College's Mary Hosking Invitational, beginning on Saturday morning in Geneva.
