ITHACA, N.Y. – On the eve of the 2025 NCAA Division III football season, D3football.com released its Preseason All-America Teams on August 18 and Ithaca College junior defensive lineman, Carson Ciancuielli, was named to the Third Team Defense as a defensive tackle.

Ciancuielli is coming off a 2024 season in which he was named First Team All-Liberty League after he logged 24 total tackles with 2.5 sacks and five tackles for loss. He also blocked a kick, forced a fumble and notched a pass breakup from his interior line position.

As a freshman, he played in all 12 games in 2023 and recorded 28 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Ciancuielli continues IC's presence on the D3football.com Preseason All-America list, as at least one Bomber has been recognized for the fourth straight year.

Over each of the past two seasons, Ithaca has allowed 14.7 points per game in 22 contests, including five shutouts.

The Bombers open their season at home on September 6 against No. 3 Johns Hopkins University.
