Baseball Lands Four on CSC Academic All-District Team

ITHACA, N.Y. - The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Ithaca College placed four players on this year's CSC Academic All-District Team as Collin Feeney, Camden Laney, Andrew McDermott and Jack Picozzi represented the Bombers.

In order to be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in academic standing with a GPA over 3.50. A position player must have also competed in at least 90-percent of the team games or have started in at least 66-percent of the total number of games played. A pitcher must have thrown more than 35 innings or appeared in more than 17 games.

Feeney recently graduated with a degree in business administration and a 3.50 GPA. He started all 41 games for the Bombers this season and led the club in runs (50), hits (49) and stolen bases (35), while batting .318. He also recorded six doubles, four triples and belted three home runs, while also walking 28 times.

McDermott completed his first year as a graduate student in exercise and sport sciences with a 3.76 GPA. He made an immediate impact in his one season with the program. He led the Bombers with 37 walks, to go along with a .353 average, 46 runs, 11 doubles, six home runs and 30 RBI. He was also hit by a pitch 13 times and stole 10 bases.

Laney wrapped up his second year as a clinical health studies major with a 3.86 GPA. He hit .344 on the season with 27 RBI, 25 runs, nine doubles and three homers.

Picozzi finished up his sophomore season as a finance major with a 3.59 GPA. He closed out the 2025 campaign with 59.0 innings pitched and a 3-2 record in 11 starts. He tossed two complete games, struck out 65, held batters to a .262 average, and posted a 3.81 earned run average.
