SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Ithaca College won its seventh consecutive Liberty League Women's Rowing Championship title, with a 4.6 second margin of victory in the Varsity Eight race, on Friday at Saratoga Lake's Fish Creek. The win punched the Bombers ticket into the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championship with the Liberty League's automatic bid.
Ithaca has now earned consecutive titles in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, as the 2020 championship was not contested due to COVID-19. The Liberty League team championship title is based on a first-place finish in the Varsity Eight race.

Beth Roberts overcame a bit of a slow start. William Smith lead for the first 1,000 meters but Ithaca would come storming back in the second half of the race to earn the victory with a time 7:28.011. The Herons were second, crossing the finish line in 7:32.617. Skidmore was third at 7:47.520 and the Thoroughbreds were followed by Rochester (8:02.351), RIT (8:02.587), St. Lawrence (8:17.754), and Union (8:27.912).
The Bombers would also post a win in the V4+, which proved to be another tight race that was won by IC by 4.3 seconds, 9:21.015. Union was second at 9:25.323 and RIT finished third with a time of 9:50.397. Skidmore (9:54.517) and St. John Fisher (10:18.025) were fourth and fifth respectively. Ithaca's 2V8+ would also earn a runner-up finish along with the Novice Four. In the 2V8+, the Herons were triumphant as they narrowly edged the Bombers by 3.7 seconds as William Smith claimed its first gold medal in the event since 2017 with a time of 7:53.075. Ithaca was the runner-up at 7:56.780 while Skidmore placed third (8:17.261). Ithaca's lineup on Friday was

RIT cruised to victory in the N4+ race, eclipsing runner up Ithaca by over 35 seconds. The Tigers posted a time of 9:02.094, which was followed by the Bombers boat who crossed the finish line in 9:38.282.
