SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – For the second-straight season, the Ithaca College men's rowing team claimed the Liberty League Championship as the Bombers outpaced runner-up Skidmore by over 21 seconds in the Varsity Eight race on Friday at Saratoga Lake's Fish Creek. The Liberty League team championship title in men's rowing is based on a first-place showing in the Varsity Eight race and with the win, the Bombers punched their ticket to the IRA Championships.
In the third race of the day among five boats, the Bombers took the lead in the V8+ at the start and did not look back with the best time of the day of 6:35.028. Skidmore also crossed the finish line in under seven minutes, clocking a time of 6:56.59. The Thoroughbreds were followed by RIT (7:00.357), St. Lawrence (7:00.859) and Union (7:03.057). The Bombers also had two boats entered in the 2V8+ and they were able to score a one-two finish. Ithaca A earned the win with a time of 6:54.090 and Ithaca B was not far behind at 6:59.614. Skidmore was third, recording a time of 7:15.742. Union (7:21.170), RIT (7:34.058), and St. Lawrence (7:39.575) made up the rest of the field. The Ithaca A boat was coxed by

Next up, Ithaca earned a trip to the 2025 IRA Championships, which will take place on May 30-June 1 on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
