Picozzi Highlights Baseball All-Liberty League Selections

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Liberty League released its postseason awards for the 2025 baseball season on May 13 and nine members from Ithaca College found a place on one of three teams honored. Highlighting the selections was sophomore pitcher Jack Picozzi, who was named Pitcher of the Year.

For the first time since 2022, an Ithaca College baseball player was tabbed Liberty League Pitcher of the Year with sophomore Jack Picozzi earning the nod. Picozzi closed out the 2025 campaign with 59.0 innings pitched and a 3-2 record in 11 starts. He tossed two complete games, struck out 65, held batters to a .262 average, and posted a 3.81 earned run average. Picozzi led the conference with 25 strikeouts looking and was fourth in total strikeouts. He was also ranked among the top 10 in innings pitched (7th), opposing batting average (8th), and earned run average (9th). In league play, he made six starts (1-0) and allowed only eight earned runs across 35.1 innings. He had the best earned run average of 2.04 among conference pitchers. He was also third in strikeouts with 39, eighth in innings pitched, and eighth in opposing batting average (.243).

FIRST TEAM

Along with Picozzi landing on the first team, two teammates were also honored in Riley Brawdy and Collin Feeney.

Brawdy played in all 41 games this season, making 40 starts. He finished the year batting .331 (45-for-136) and led the team with 34 RBI, to go along with 29 runs, six home runs, eight doubles and five triples. Brawdy ended the season on a 12-game hitting streak where he accumulated 21 hits in 41 at bats (.512).

Feeney started all 41 games for the Bombers this season and led the club in runs (50), hits (49) and stolen bases (35), while batting .318. He also recorded six doubles, four triples and belted three home runs, while also walking 28 times.

SECOND TEAM

Three members of the team landed on the second team, which were Ethan Fantel, Andrew McDermott and Sean Kelly.

Fantel emerged as an everyday starter midway through the season and went on to lead IC in average at .371 as he tallied 33 hits, 22 runs, nine doubles, three home runs and 22 RBI. He also walked 29 times and had an on-base percentage of .540.

McDermott came to IC as a graduate transfer and made an immediate impact in his one season with the program. He led the Bombers with 37 walks, to go along with a .353 average, 46 runs, 11 doubles, six home runs and 30 RBI. He was also hit by a pitch 13 times and stole 10 bases.

Sean Kelly was the top arm out of the bullpen for IC this season. He made 19 appearances with a 3.21 RBI, 4-1 record and three saves. Kelly tossed 28.0 innings, struck out 25 batters and held opponents to a .223 average.

THIRD TEAM

Three more Bombers found a spot on this year's third team - Ethan Murley, Ethan McDonough and Camden Laney.

Murley served as IC's third starter for most of the season and moved into the No. 2 role down the stretch. He went 2-1 with a 4.42 ERA in 40.2 innings of work with 35 strikeouts over 12 appearances and nine starts.

McDonough batted .324 on the season with a team-best seven home runs, to go along with 31 runs scored, 27 RBI, three doubles and two triples. He also walked 25 times and swiped 14 bases.

Laney earned a spot on the all-league team as a designated hitter, while also playing first base and outfield. He hit .344 on the season with 27 RBI, 25 runs, nine doubles and three homers.
