MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The 2025 season came to a close in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship for the No. 22 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team as the Bombers fell to three-time defending national champions and No. 2 Middlebury, 20-5, on Sunday. Ithaca concludes its season with a 14-7 record.
Middlebury raced out to a 9-0 lead after the first quarter and tacked on six more in the second period to build a 15-0 cushion after 30 minutes of action.
The Bombers got on the board early in the third quarter on a goal from
Kathryn Scallon, which was assisted by
Hayley Armstrong. After three straight goals from the Panthers made it 18-1,
Kelly Augeri scored the first of her three goals off a feed from Armstrong late in the third quarter.
Middlebury would increase its lead to 20-2 less than three minutes into the fourth quarter, but the Bombers score the game's final three goals to account for the 20-5 final.
Lexi Kellish started the three-goal run with 9:01 to play and Augeri tallied the final two in the contest.
