ITHACA, N.Y. – The College Sports Communicators announced Academic All-District honorees for the Division III men's basketball season on March 25 and Ithaca College senior
Logan Wendell represented the Bombers on the prestigious list.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-District for basketball, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in academic standing with a cumulative GPA over 3.5. They also must have competed in 90-percent or more of the team's contests during the year or started over 66-percent of the time.
Wendell is now a three-time recipient of the award and will now move onto consideration for Academic All-American. The Bradford, Vt. native is an economics major with a 3.65 GPA and started all 29 games for the Bombers this season.
He averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists on the year and he guided the Bombers to their first Liberty League title in five seasons. IC then went on to win its NCAA First Round game against Stockton before ending the season against No. 19 WPI to finish with a 19-10 record.
Wendell wrapped up his career fifth all-time on the scoring list with 1574 points.
