Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team battled Cornell University on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup, but the Bombers came up short with the Big Red earning the 7-0 sweep at Reis Tennis Center. Ithaca falls to 5-11 with the loss while Cornell improved to 12-7 on the season.
 
Cornell claimed straight set wins in each of the singles and doubles matchups. Taylor Crain and Sabrina Cheung dropped a 6-1 result in the top flight and Lauren Rodriguez and Madeleine Sutro were defeated by the same score to Sage Loudon and Martina Marica.
 
The most competitive match overall came at No. 1 singles where Michelle Ryndin defeated Ithaca's Taylor Crain, by set scores of 6-2 and 6-1. Sabrina Cheung scored three set wins in the opening set but would eventually fall to Alexandra Savu (6-3, 6-0). At No. 3 singles the Big Red's Tanya Fan scored a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ithaca's Lauren Rodriguez.
 
Next up, Ithaca College will close out the regular season on Sunday, April 27 when William Smith comes to town for a matchup slated for 11 a.m.
