Ivan Kisic Shines Despite Ithaca's Loss to Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team faced another Liberty League matchup on Saturday, falling 6-1 on the road to Vassar College. Ithaca, ranked No. 64 earlier in the week, now sits at 5-7 overall and 3-2 in the Liberty League, while the Brewers remain unbeaten in-conference at 4-0 and are 8-7 overall.

Doubles play was competitive, but the Brewers took two of the three matchups. The lone IC win came in the second flight, with Ivan Kisic and Siddharth Vaada defeating the Vassar duo of Joaquin Gil and James Balon, 6-4.

Up 1-0, Vassar gained another point when Siddharth Vaada was shutout at No. 2 singles. The Brewers clinched the matchup with two more points as Luis Crespo dropped a 6-1, 6-1 result to Arnav Agostinho, and Gijs Fidler was unsuccessful at No. 1, losing 6-2, 6-0. The lone Bombers win on Saturday was earned by first year Ivan Kisic, who defeated Joseph Braun with set scores of 6-2 and 6-3.

The Bombers will look to bounce back in their next match against Bard on Sunday, April 13 at 2 p.m.
