RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team finished up their regular season and honored their senior on Sunday as the Bombers defeated Springfield College, 189.925-183.750, in Ben Light Gymnasium.
The Bombers came out strong on vault to score 47.325 and built nearly a five-point lead over Springfield as all seven gymnasts scored over 9.275.
Lauren Babineaux,
Natalie Steed and
Grace Murray all received 9.500, while Maya John earned 9.475.
Jessica Schmitz was awarded 9.350 and
Madelynn Farragher started off the rotation with 9.275.
Hana Miller competed in exhibition with 9.450.
IC struggled a bit on bars with 46.200 as only three gymnasts scored over 9.0 but maintained its lead over the Spring.
Nicole Lonski paced the Bombers with 9.575, while John was close behind at 9.525.
Kaylie Goodwin earned 9.300.
Ithaca regrouped on beam to turn in a performance of 47.975 and put the meet out of reach. All seven gymnasts scored over 9.475.
Corey Foster was the top performer with 9.775, while Goodwin scored 9.625.
Emily Kobusky received 9.600, while
Caitlin Pellegrino earned 9.500. Steed and John were both awarded 9.475.
Abby Chesshire turned in 9.675 in an exhibition.
The Bombers concluded the meet with 48.425 on floor with five scores over 9.550. Murray was nearly flawless with 9.825, while Foster received 9.750. Pellegrino was awarded 9.675 and
Jillian Freyman earned 9.625.
Hana Miller started off the rotation with 9.550 and Chesshire earned 9.125.
IC will head to Brockport next weekend for the NCGA East Region Championship.
