ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team shined under the lights of Higgins Stadium on Wednesday evening, securing a dominant 25-6 victory over the visiting SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles. The Bombers' 25 goals marked their highest total since scoring 24 against Morrisville State in the 2016 season.
Ithaca quickly jumped out to a 4-0 lead, with
Brendan Occhino netting the first goal less than two minutes into the game off a feed from
Ethan Adrid.
Kyle Proctor added two goals during the scoring run, along with an unassisted effort from
Graham Brady. Jacob Stine connected on his first goal of the year for the Golden Eagles, and
Kyle Savery sparked another scoring spurt with two goals, including a man-up goal. The Bombers closed the quarter with

Ethan Adrid, who found the back of the net with 28 seconds left, making it 9-1.
In the second quarter, the Bombers outscored Brockport 6-1.
Brendan Occhino opened the period with a goal, and
Max Warn fed
Kyle Proctor to cap it off, bringing the score to 15-2 at halftime. The third quarter saw
Brendan Occhino assisting on
Cullen Adams' seventh goal of the season, and Occhino earned a hat trick nearly two minutes later, extending the lead to 16-2. Brockport managed to connect on three goals within the third, but the Bombers carried a 21-5 lead into the final 15 minutes, which saw several of their underclassmen earn valuable minutes on the field.
Brendan Occhino made a nice deke on a Golden Eagles defender and netted his fifth goal of the evening to begin the fourth quarter as the Bombers ran away for a 19-goal victory. Also finding twine for IC were
Grant Mathieson and
Carson Spallone. Occhino capped off a career day with another goal, marking 10 points.
Kyle Proctor finished with five goals, while his brother Lucas had a hat trick along with
Kyle Savery.
Andrew Minard led the defensive efforts with five saves and in the faceoff X,
Chase Gulick went 12-of-12 and collected 12 ground balls, while defender
Jace Dockx chipped in four.
Next up, Ithaca College (6-2) will embark on Liberty League play which will open up when it hosts Vassar College (4-2) on Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m.
