GENESEO, N.Y. – In a final competitive tune-up before the 2025 Liberty League Championships, the Ithaca College women's swimming & diving team was on the road on Saturday afternoon at SUNY Geneseo. The Knights were able to score the 190-110 dual win over Ithaca.
It was a competitive race in the 50-yard butterfly with
Kathleen Papiernik coming away with a second-place finish and time of 27.22 seconds as she was followed by teammate
Elizabeth Bodie (27.71) and
Mianny Trinidad (27.84). Geneseo's Alise Hale won the event with a time of 26.40.
First year
Sydney Koehler and
Samantha Bender scored a one-two finish for the Bombers in the 100-yard IM with times of 1:03.40 and 1:03.57, respectively. In the longest event of the competition, the 1000-yard freestyle saw
Emma Heinze finish second with a time of 11:19.49.
Senior diver
Kailee Payne put together another incredible performance winning on the 3-meter boards with a finals score of 504.95. The reigning Liberty League Diver of the Week also bested the competition on the 1-meter recording a 302.40. Ithaca's
Emily Provost had a season-best finish of third and finals score of 243.65.

Divers will return to action on Saturday, February 8 when they host the Geneca Diving Invitational and they along with the rest of the team will host the four-day Liberty League Championships, which will begin on Wednesday, February 19 beginning at 10 a.m. and finals will begin at 6 p.m.
