TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team delivered a dominant all-around performance on Saturday, defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 163–133, at Robinson Pool.
Mirroring the success of the women's team, the Bombers got off to a fast start by winning the 200-yard medley relay.

Will Stanczewski,
Matthew Mitros, and
Spencer Alderson combined for a time of 1:35.35—more than two seconds ahead of RPI's runner-up squad. Later in the meet,
Ryan Cooke,
Mike Ekert, Stanczewski, and Alderson capped off the day with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay, posting a strong time of 3:13.21 to complete the relay sweep.
Ithaca showcased its depth in the 50-yard freestyle, claiming the top three spots.
Matthew Mitros led the charge with a winning time of 21.82. He followed that up with another individual victory in the 100-yard butterfly, touching first in 52.45.
Senior
Ryan Cooke continued his impressive start to the season, winning three individual events. He claimed the 100-yard freestyle in 47.45—an improvement over his time from last week—while Alderson finished second in 48.33. Cooke also took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.50, more than three seconds ahead of the nearest RPI swimmer, and later added a win in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 4:51.90.
On the diving boards,
Kian Long was exceptional, sweeping both the 3-meter (242.25) and 1-meter (298.05) events to earn valuable points for the Bombers.
