SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sophomore Ivan Kisic delivered a standout performance at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships this past weekend, finishing as the runner-up in a competitive singles bracket hosted by Skidmore College.
 
Kisic opened his impressive run with a hard-fought victory over Jonas Santos, rallying for a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 win. He continued his momentum in the Round of 32, outlasting Skidmore's Yuval Goodman in another three-set battle, 7-5, 0-6, 10-6. In the quarterfinals, Kisic defeated Skidmore's Fletcher King in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, before advancing past TCNJ's Alberto Thomas with a pair of 6-4 sets in the semifinals.
 
In the championship match, Kisic faced No. 2 seed Tarun Korwar of Hamilton College, ultimately falling 6-1, 6-3 to cap off a stellar tournament run.
 
Elsewhere in singles action, Gijs Fidler opened with a gritty three-set win over Drew's Jesse Faro, 7-5, 4-6, 10-7, before dropping a close match in the Round of 32 to Vassar's Fernando Bauermeister, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3). Luis Crespo also picked up a first-round win, defeating TCNJ's Faris Shehata 6-4, 6-2, before falling in his second match. Carlos Hernandez mirrored that effort, rallying past Farmingdale State's Devan Melandro 4-6, 7-5, 10-7 before being eliminated in the next round.
 
In doubles action Ivan Kisic and Emiliano Pedrero teamed up defeat the pair from the University of Rochester 8-4 in their opening match before falling 8-6 to the No. 4 seeded Fletcher King and Nika Mori.
