Men's Basketball – Rookie of the Week – Chris Leysath
Chris Leysath recorded 16 points, 19 rebounds and four assists over the weekend as Ithaca went 1-1. Leysath turned in a 13-rebound, seven-point effort in a loss at RPI and then filled the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds and four assists in an 88-69 win at Skidmore.
Men's Track & Field – Rookie of the Week – Connor Yacomeni
Connor Yacomeni won the high jump in a tie with a mark of 1.87 meters at the Nazareth Challenge Cup on Saturday. Yacomeni earned 10 points towards IC's total of 54 at the event as the Bombers finished sixth as a team and won the conference challenge with Rochester.
Women's Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week – Bree Boyle
Bree Boyle set a new personal best mark in the pole vault on Saturday at the Nazareth Challenge Cup as she cleared 3.60 meters to come in third place overall. She tied the top mark in the event but placed third due to total attempts and now ranks 14th on the Division III qualifying list.
Women's Track & Field – Rookie of the Week – Marykate Rudnicki
IC's 4x200-meter relay team of
Aynisha McQuillar,
Ava Butler,
Natalie MacArthur and
Marykate Rudnicki won the event and set a new school record with a time of 1:44.85. The relay topped IC's previous record of 1:45.49 set back in 2012. Rudnicki also finished third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.18 seconds.
Men's Swimming & Diving – Swimmer of the Week – Alex Kutsner
Alec Kutsner won a pair of individual events as the Bombers celebrated Senior Day by besting Gannon University. Kutsner swam the opening leg of the Bombers 200-yard medley relay winning team that produced a 1:32.33. Kutsner would go on to win the 100-yard backstroke over Nikita Poparcea (52.22) with his time of 51.19 as he would also win the 200-yard backstroke with his finals time of 1:53.89 over teammate
Evan Wardrop. The sophomore also helped Ithaca achieve first-place in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.07).
Women's Swimming & Diving – Diver of the Week – Kailee Payne
Kailee Payne continued her excellent season and was in exceptional form on Sunday as part of the 17
th Annual Dick Comanzo Invitational as she won the 3-meter diving competition by over 113 as she totaled an NCAA Regional cut score of 571.95 across her 11-dives, which also reset her former program record (559.95). She would also dominate the 21-person field on the 1-meter edging out teammate
Angela Burke by nearly 75 points. Payne totaled a finals score of 521.80, with Burke finishing second at 455.30.
Women's Swimming & Diving – Swimmer of the Week – Kathleen Papiernik
The sophomore won both the 400-yard IM (4:37.57) along with winning the 100-yard butterfly in what turned out to be a season-best time of 56.66, over teammate
Elizabeth Bodie. Papiernik also swam to a second-place finish as she was just nipped out by Gannon's Emily Hedges in the 200-yard butterfly as they produced times of 2:08.57 and 2:08.58, respectively.
HONOR ROLL
Logan Wendell totaled 35 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in a 1-1 week for Ithaca. Wendell was 13-for-27 from the field, 4-for-10 from 3-point range and 5-for-5 at the free throw line. He started the weekend with 13 points and three rebounds in a loss at RPI and then notched his second career double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with five assists, in an 88-69 win at Skidmore.
James Hughes won the 5000-meter run in a time of 15:17.02 at the Nazareth Challenge Cup as Ithaca finished sixth as a team and won the challenge with Rochester with a combined 178 points. Hughes beat out the next closest runner by 25 seconds.

Annabella Yorio helped the Bombers run their win streak to six-straight with a pair of road wins over both RPI (58-55) and Skidmore College (65-55). Yorio produced her fourth double-double of the season with a team-high 14 points along with grabbing a career-best 17 rebounds, which included seven offensive boards against RPI. The senior forward nearly came up with another double-double against the Thoroughbreds where she finished with 13 rebounds and nine points.
Samuel Smith achieved a pair of NCAA Regional cuts as part of the 17
th Annual Dick Comanzo Invite. On the 1-meter boards he surpassed the regional cut with his fourth-place finish and 11-dive total of 426.55. Smith would do the same thing on the 3-meter boards, this time finishing third above teammate
Kian Long with his finals score of 493.50. A day prior Ithaca celebrated Senior Day against Gannon University and the senior won the 1-meter with his six-dive total of 277.57.
