RESULTS
UTICA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team returned to action after a week off as the Bombers traveled to Utica University on Sunday to compete in a quad meet and placed third with a score of 186.025. Cortland won the quad meet with 189.025, while Utica was the runner-up with 188.275 and Ursinus placed fourth at 185.125.
IC started on vault and turned in its best rotation of the meet with 47.675. All five scoring gymnasts earned over 9.425, led by a 9.650 from
Grace Murray.
Natalie Steed received 9.575 and
Jessica Schmitz picked up a score of 9.525. Madelyn Farragher started off the rotation with 9.500 and
Mya John earned 9.425.
The Bombers moved over to bars and received 45.700 on the second rotation for a two-round total of 93.375. John was the top performer with 9.525, while
Kaylie Goodwin was awarded 9.350.
Lauren Babineaux earned completed her routine with 9.250 and
Nicole Lonski returned to the lineup with 9.175.
Marlena Bailey scored 8.400 to round out the second rotation.
On beam, Ithaca posted a team score of 45.575 for 138.950 after three events.
Emily Kobusky was stellar in her routine with 9.775, while
Caitlin Pellegrino scored 9.675, but no one else in the rotation scored over 9.0.
Ithaca concluded the meet on floor with 47.075. Murray was the top performer with 9.800 and
Hana Miller completed her routine with 9.600. Pellegrino turned in a 9.475 and
Natalie Steed scored 9.275.
The Bombers will to Springfield College for another quad meet next Sunday, February 2.
