Men’s Track & Field Hosts First Home Meet of the Year

ITHACA, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's track & field team hosted a home quad meet with Cortland, Oneonta and TCNJ on Saturday inside Glazer Arena and finished fourth with 20 points.

Ben Buffone won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.97 and Aidan Loughlin was the runner-up by crossing the finish in 1:59.35. Colin Lesher took fourth at 2:01.70, while Kaiden Chandler was seventh at 2:09.01 and Connor McGeehan secured eighth with a time of 2:11.28.

Connor Yacomeni cleared 1.89 meters in the high jump to win the event, while Rhys Tickner was sixth at 1.74 meters, Matt Lokshin finished in seventh at 1.69 meters and Noah McKibben also cleared 1.69 meters to place eighth.

The Bombers entered two teams in the 4x400-meter relay. The group of Matt Lokshin, Joseph Napolitano, Buffone and Damian Simmonds were fourth in 3:31.61. The other relay of Adam Mocho, Lesher, Loughlin and Tickner were eighth at 3:39.89.

Shaun Herlihy finished as the runner-up in the pole vault with a mark of 4.15 meters, while Dylan Sullivan was fifth at 3.85 meters and Gabriel Lane took fifth with a clearance of 3.70 meters. McKibben placed eighth at 3.40 meters.

Luke Ellor measured out 14.26 meters in the shot put to claim third overall.

Max Boreland was a fifth place runner in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.15 seconds, while Napolitano was seventh in the 400-meter dash at 53.93 seconds and Mocho followed in eighth at 53.98 seconds.

James Hughes posted a time of 4:29.39 in the mile to come in fifth and Drew Taylor was eighth in a time of 4:32.94. Dominic Agostinelli finished the 3000-meter run in a time of 10:16.13 to place eighth.

Evan Cherry secured fifth in the long jump at 6.46 meters and Lane was eighth at 6.29 meters.
