SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Ithaca College women's tennis standout
Taylor Crain was back in action on Sunday as part of the second day of the 2024 ITA Regionals. Crain earned her spot into the Round of 16 in singles play and was fighting for the chance to punch her ticket to the semifinals and championship match, which will both be played on Monday.
The Cohes, N.Y., native got her day started with her Round of 16 matchup against Zoey Albert from TCNJ. Crain proved to be dominant dispatching Albert by set scores of 7-5, 6-3. She then was matched up with the No. 1 seeded Jimena Menendez from NYU and Menendez ended up prevailing and eliminating Crain with scores of 6-2, 6-1.
This was the best showing of Crain's four-year career at the ITA Northeast Regional.
