Ewing, N.J. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team was back in action on Friday and Saturday as they took on both TCNJ and NYU as part of the Lions Tournament. The Bombers saw both a singles and doubles win come against the Violets on Saturday and scored three more wins against the Lions, the evening prior.
 
The Bombers were able to score their first victory on Friday in doubles action with the pair of Carolos Hernandez and Ean Lantzy defeating Sidd Arudi and Curt Gruber by a score of 6-4. The other two wins came by the top IC singles players that were slotted in at No. 1 and No. 2 in Ivan Kisic and Gijs Fidler, respectively. Kisic was able to defeat TCNJ's Brett Schuster by set scores of 5-7, 7-6 (4), 10-6. Gijs Fidler's match also went into three sets as he defeated Aidan Twamley by scores of 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.
 
On Saturday, Ithaca took on the NYU Violets where the Bombers saw Gijs Fidler involved in two separate victories. In doubles action, he paired up with Siddharth Desai and they were victorious over Alex Lee and Nithin Sankar by a score of 6-4. Fidler would go on to defeat Jingyuan Chen in a singles bout by set scores of 6-4, 6-1. Siddharth Desai was also victorious in singles play as he won 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.
 
Next up, the Bombers will take part in the ITA Northeast Regional Championship, which will be hosted by Drew College in Madison, N.J.  beginning on Friday, September 27.
