ITHACA, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 10 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team will host Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Friday, May 3 at 4 p.m. in a Liberty League Semifinal matchup at Higgins Stadium. If victorious, the Bombers will then host the winning of No. 7 William Smith and Union on Sunday at 1 p.m. for the Liberty League Final.

LIBERTY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP INFO: The Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Championship is made up of seven teams. The No. 1 seed receives a first round bye, while other six qualifying teams played on April 30 to solidify the semifinals. William Smith, Union and RPI won those first round games.
The semifinal winners will play on Sunday for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
William Smith has won the past seven Liberty League titles and has played Ithaca in the championship game each of the past five seasons.
ITHACA VS. RPI: IC and RPI last played on April 13 and the Bombers came away with a 20-5 victory. The Bombers are 11-3 all-time against the Engineers and have won each of the past five games. RPI's last victory against IC came back in 2011, which was a 13-12 overtime win in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Ithaca is 15-1 on the season and went a perfect 10-0 in league play to earn the No. 1 overall seed. The Bombers have won 12 straight games after their only loss of the season to then No. 14 Trinity (Conn.) on March 13. Over the past 12 games, IC has scored 20 or more goals in five contests and has won by an average of 10.3 goals per game.
The Bombers have 10 players who have contributed 10 or more points this season, led by 76 from
Maizy Veitch (45G, 31A) and 54 from
Sydney Phillips (46G, 8A).
Caroline Wise ranks third with 52 points on 27 goals and 25 assists, while her 145 draws are top five in DIII.
Lily Cody ranks third on the team with 36 goals and a team-best 23 caused turnovers, while
Chloe Nordyke has added 29 goals.
Lexi Held is 15-1 in cage for IC with a .500 save percentage and 9.03 GAA.
RPI is the No. 5 seed in the Liberty League Tournament and pulled off the lone upset of the first round with a 12-10 win at No. 4 Skidmore. The Engineers are 8-7 on the season and average 11.3 goals per game.
Megan Shay and Ella Graff are the Engineers' top two goal scorers with a combined 79 goals (41 and 38) on the season. Lauren DeLeo and Audrey Silverman have both scored 21 goals, while DeLeo has a team-high 61 draw wins with Shay.
Jenny Canfield is RPI's main goalie this season with 15 games played and a 6-7 record. Canfield has 111 saves on the year with a .442 save percentage and 11.82 GAA.
WILLIAM SMITH VS. UNION: The No. 7 Herons and Garnet Chargers will also play at 4 p.m. on Friday in Geneva. William Smith is 27-10 all-time against Union and the Herons beat the Garnet Chargers earlier this season, 12-6.
William Smith has been ranked as high as No. 2 this season but dropped five spots in the IWLCA poll after losses to Ithaca and Wesleyan.
