Track & Field Competes at Cornell Sunday to Prep for Liberty League Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams made the quick trip over to Cornell on Sunday for the Big Red Invitational in a tune-up before the Liberty League Championships next weekend.

WOMEN'S RESULTS

The 4x100-meter relay team of Devan Adegbile, Ava Butler, Tayla Hummel and Natalie MacArthur won the race by more than a second with a time of 49.83.

Laura Suppa was the runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.12 seconds, while Rachel Larson placed fifth in 15.58 and Elli Cloutier was eighth at 17.22. Celia Ryan was another second place finisher in the javelin at 32.98 meters.

Madeleine Wright finished third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.62 meters, while Lydia Barber and Ryan both cleared 1.57 meters to finish fifth and sixth.

Bree Boyle posted a mark of 3.35 meters in the pole vault to come in third overall, while Erin Eastwood also cleared 3.35 meters to finish in fifth and Talia Hutchinson was seventh at 3.15 meters.

Ashanti Stanley measured out 11.25 meters in the triple jump for fifth place overall, Grace Croft was sixth at 10.85 meters and Ryan claimed seventh with a mark of 10.24 meters.

Lily Seyfert secured fourth in the discus at 35.72 meters and placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 11.85 meters. Charlotte Powell had a mark of 29.79 meters in the javelin to place fifth.

Lyla Powers placed sixth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:23.43. Enya Green took seventh in the discus at 31.25 meters.

MEN'S RESULTS

Andrew Geschickter took third in the high jump at 1.70 meters, while Brendan Sheehan moved into the top 15 in Division III in the pole vault with a mark of 4.87 meters, which was third in the event. Dom Mikula also cleared 4.87 meters to place fourth.

George Nilson was fifth in the 200-meter dash in 23.65 seconds, while Evan Cherry placed eighth in 23.90. Cherry also placed eighth in the long jump at 6.10 meters.


Andrew Olando took sixth in the triple jump at 12.16 meters and Liam Connelly followed in seventh at 11.61 meters. Ben Buffone was a seventh place finisher in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:08.17.
