High School: Ava attended Montclair High School and earned six varsity letters as a member of the track & field programs. During her time, she was Varsity Captain (2023), Track and Field Athlete of the Year (2023), First Team All County Honors (Indoor & Outdoor 2023). Team was North 1 Group 4 Sectional runner-up (Outdoor 2023), and Essex County Champions (Indoor & Outdoor 2023). She also was a four-time State Championship Qualifier in the 4x100 (Outdoor 2022 & 2023), 200m (Indoor 2023), and 4x400 (Indoor & Outdoor 2023). Performed at Nike Nationals (Indoor 2023), placing second in the SMR, 10th in the 4x200, and 14th in the 4x400.
Personal: A television and digital media major, she is the daughter of Ted and Lisa Butler.
