ITHACA, N.Y – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team took on No. 4 ranked St. Lawrence on Saturday at Higgins Stadium as the Saints used a big first quarter holding the Bombers scoreless while netting seven goals as they ended up winning 15-4. The win got the Saints to 12-1 overall and 4-0 in the Liberty League, while Ithaca dropped to 6-7 overall and 0-5 in conference.

St. Lawrence and Ben Hutchinson came out hot as he scored four goals in the first quarter, as the Saints opened up a 7-0 lead after the first 15 minutes of play. Hutchinson assisted on a Bobby Wells goal that opened the second as the Bombers got on the board when Chris Kiely dished it off to Charlie Niebuhr who put it away for his 25th goal of the season. With the goal, Niebuhr surpassed 100 career points.

The Saints added two more goals to go up 10-1, but the Bombers finished the second quarter well with Jack Giannuzzi assisting on Kyle Proctor's 13th goal of the season. Long stick midfielder Jace Dockx netted his first career goal as he rifled a shot from 30 yards out that bested the St. Lawrence goalkeeper Michael Marinello.

Ithaca would score first in the third quarter when Cullen Adams deked out a defender 2:02 into the period making it 10-4. It was all St. Lawrence from there as they scored five unanswered goals, which included two in the fourth.

The Saints outshot IC by a 42-31 margin and 27-13 on shots on goals. Goalkeeper Cole Corrigan recorded 12 saves for the Bombers.

Ithaca College will next be in action on Wednesday hosting Cortland (8-3, 4-0 SUNYAC) in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m.
