Seven Gymnasts Compete at NCGA Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. –
The Ithaca College gymnastics team concluded the 2024 season at the NCGA Championships hosted by Ursinus College on March 23 as seven gymnasts represented the program as individual competitors. Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the team championship with a score of 194.975.

Emily Kobusky was the closest Bombers to reach the podium as she finished in a five-way tie for ninth place on beam with a score of 9.775. Kobusky needed 9.800 or higher to be named an All-American.

Grace Murray produced a solid performer on floor with 9.775 to tie for 15th with four other gymnasts, while Lauren Babineaux finished the bars in a six-way tie for 17th at 9.600. Jillian Freyman tied for 24th on floor with 9.725.

Babineaux and Murray also competed on vault Saturday. Babineaux was 41st with 9.450 and Murray posted 9.150 for 50th, while Natalie Steed received 9.425 to tie for 42nd.

Abby Chesshire notched a performance of 9.650 on beam to finish in a tie for 22nd. Freyman and Kaylie Goodwin also competed on beam and finished with scores of 8.625 and 7.650.
