ITHACA, NY– The No. 24 ranked Ithaca College wrestling program hosted Wilkes University on Friday evening and racked up its seventh-straight dual victory. The Bombers celebrated Senior Day with the 33-16 victory as prior to the bouts they honored their four seniors, Joseph Averill, Matthew Beyer, Pedro Cruz and Jeremy Mazzella. With the win, Ithaca improves to 13-5 on the year as they'll conclude regular season competition on February 15 at SUNY Cortland.
 
The Bombers came away with wins in six of the ten weight classes, all coming with extra points including three falls. Coming away with those impressive pins were Cosmo Damiani, Matthew Beyer and Jake Jones. Damiani earned the first official win for Ithaca getting the pin at 5:29. Beyer earned his 26^th win on the season and ninth fall, this time coming in 4:21 over Colton Thorpe. First year Jake Jones has continued to solidify his footing on the NCAA Division III scene, racking up his 20^th fall of the season and 27^th victory on the season, going over Christopher Nuss in 1:05.
 
It was all Isaias Torres as he was all over Michael Richardson from the opening seconds of the match. Torres continued to score as he ended up winning via a 19-4 technical fall. At 165 lbs., Konrad Parker matched the feat as he defeated Trevor DuBoff in a 19-4 tech fall. Jackson Gray earned arguably the most exciting win as he went over Lucas Miller and earned the 21-5 tech fall.
 
Ithaca will travel to Cortland on Thursday, February 15 taking on the Red Dragons at 7 p.m. Select wrestlers will then compete in the NCAA Regionals, which will be hosted by beginning on Friday, March 1.
