RESULTS

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team traveled over to Cortland for a Valentine's Day dual meet in Corey Gymnasium and were narrowly edged by three-tenths of a point, 188.850 to 188.500.

IC began the meet on bars and had a tough go with 45.300 as four gymnasts scored below 9.000. Marlena Bailey was the top performer with 9.525, while Natalie Steed earned 9.275.

The Bombers moved over to vault and improved by nearly two points with 47.150. Grace Murray led the way with 9.575, while Steed scored 9.475. Caitlin Pellegrino earned a score of 9.450 and Cassidy Gallivan received a result of 9.350. Kaylie Goodwin began the event with 9.300.

Ithaca made its way to the floor for the third rotation and had its best performance of the night with 48.225. All six gymnasts scored over 9.300, as Murray prevailed with 9.825. Corey Foster was next in line with 9.725 and Jillian Freyman earned 9.700. Pellegrino posted a score of 9.575 and Taylor Arias received 9.400, while Abby Chesshire was awarded 9.300.

The meet concluded on beam with the Bombers earning 47.875. Emily Kobusky matched her school record with 9.850 and Freyman started the rotation off with 9.800. Chesshire earned 9.675 and Goodwin turned in a routine of 9.475.

Ithaca will host the Marranca Invitational on Sunday at 2 p.m.
