ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team will get its Liberty League schedule underway this Saturday, October 5 as the Bombers travel to Hobart College for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Boswell Field. IC is 1-2 so far, while Hobart owns a 3-1 record.

FULL GAME NOTES
ALL-TIME SERIES: Ithaca and Hobart will meet for the 37th time dating back to 1961 on Saturday. Ithaca owns the all-time series, 31-5, and has, on average, outscored the Statesmen, 25.2 to 11.0 over the past six contests as Liberty League rivals.
WIN AT CURRY: The Bombers got into the win column last Saturday at Curry College as IC prevailed, 38-13. IC led, 21-0, at the half and increased its advantage to 38-6 midway through the fourth quarter before the Colonels punched in a final touchdown with less than a minute to go. Ithaca did not punt in the victory.
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne paced the offense with 110 yards rushing on 18 carries and a touchdown, while 
Jake Williams posted 93 yards and one touchdown on 19 attempts. 
Colin Schumm was 11-for-15 passing for 143 yards and two scores, while 
Matthew Parker was 7-of-8 for 108 yards.
Jake Connolly logged 11 tackles to lead the defense, while 
Danny Portas notched seven tackles. 
Joe Spirra had two pass breakups, to go along with five tackles, while 
Andrew Swierbut recorded an interception, pass breakup and four tackles.
Derek Baldin tallied eight points with five PATs and a 27-yard field goal, while Leonard-Osbourne also returned two kicks for 69 yards.
ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS: IC was exceptional offensively in the win at Curry with 486 yards in a balanced attack of 262 yards passing and 224 yards rushing. Ithaca tied a school record with 35 first downs to match the previous mark set against Albany in 1993.
IC was also 7-for-10 on third down and scored on six of seven trips to the red zone.
CURRENT RUN: Ithaca has won each of the past six games against Hobart and is 8-2 over the past 10 matchups.
IC IN LIBERTY LEAGUE OPENERS: Since joining the Liberty League ahead of the 2017 season, the Bombers have gone 5-1 to begin league play with the lone loss taking place in 2018.
LIBERTY LEAGUE ACTION: Outside of Ithaca vs. Hobart, two other Liberty League matchups are taking place – RPI at Rochester and Union at St. Lawrence. Buffalo State is playing Division II Mercyhurst this weekend.
SCOUTING HOBART: The Statesmen are off to a 3-1 start on the season with their lone loss coming to then No. 9 Randolph-Macon, 14-7, in overtime. Hobart had a chance to win the game in regulation, but missed a game-winning field goal and then fumbled after picking up a fourth down conversion in overtime to give the victory to RMC.
Hobart beat Alfred, 10-7, to begin the year and then took down Moravian, 27-12, and Keystone, 52-9.
The Statesmen currently have the best defense in the Liberty League with just 10.5 points allowed per game. They also rank second in yards allowed at 258.8 and the 90.0 yards rushing per game is first.
E.J. Taylor is the leading rusher for Hobart so far with 331 yards on 70 carries and two touchdowns. Quarterback Johnny Colombi ranks second in rushing with 112 yards, to go along with 819 yards passing and eight scores.
Johnny Harding and Ahmad Crowell have been on the receiving end of all eight scores as Harding has three touchdowns on the year and Crowell has caught five touchdowns. Harding leads the receivers with 236 yards on 16 catches and Crowell is close behind with 226 yards on 10 grabs.
Hobart has produced 26 tackles for loss so far through four games with a team-high 5.0 coming from Jaimen Bliss, who also leads the team with 33 total tackles. Anthony Romano is second on the unit with 24 stops.
