TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team hit the road as they competed in the Kumpf Invitational on Saturday afternoon as the Bombers won the scoring invitational defeating RPI (130-100), Skidmore (188-48) and Cortland (164-77). In total, IC won five events including the final one of the afternoon, the 400-yard freestyle relay as the team also saw four second-place finishes.
Both
Ryan Cooke and
James Collishaw turned in outstanding respective efforts individually as they each won a pair of races. Cooke bested the field first in the 200-yard freestyle finishing the event in 1:45.77, which was faster than a pair of RPI competitors. He then went on to win the 500-yard freestyle earning 20 team points and recording a time of 4:46.92.
James Collishaw performed well per usual winning the 50 and 100 free as he also helped the Bombers win the 400-yard freestyle relay as he swam the final leg for the group time of 3:10.54.
