RESULTS
BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team began its season at SUNY Brockport on Saturday and was narrowly edge by a final score of 189.525 to 188.475.
IC opened the meet on bars and scored its lowest result of the day with 45.550.
Nicole Lonski put together the best showing on bars with 9.575, while
Lauren Babineaux was awarded 9.450.
Kaylie Goodwin earned 9.050 and
Marlena Bailey finished her routine with 9.025.
Skye Cohen had a socre of 8.450 and
Coral Cotteleer scored 8.400.
The Bombers then moved over to vault and received 47.250. After two rotations, IC trailed Brockport by 1.625. All six gymnasts scored above 9.200 on vault as Lonski was the top performer at 9.725 and
Hana Miller was second at 9.525. Babineaux received 9.500 and
Grace Murray received 9.275 for her routine.
Jillian Freyman returned to action for the first time since 2022 and scored 9.225, while
Caitlin Pellegrino earned 9.200.
Ithaca continued to improve in the meet as the Bombers rotated to floor and scored 47.770 to trip its deficit to under a point at 141.275 to 140.500. Murray was the top performer at 9.775 and
Corey Foster scored 9.675. Pellegrino received 9.600 and Lonski turned in a routine of 9.500.
Abby Chesshire scored 9.150 and Cohen rounded out the rotation with 8.600.
IC finished the meet on beam and scored 47.975 for its best rotation of the day. Goodwin shined with 9.800, while
Emily Kobusky turned in 9.650. Pellegrino turned in another solid performance with 9.625, while Foster earned 9.550. Freyman scored 9.350 and Miller received 9.175.
The Bombers will welcome Ursinus College to South Hill on January 21 for their next meet.
