ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team saw their season come to an end on Friday as they bowed out of the quarterfinals of the Liberty League Tournament that is being held at the Reis Tennis Center on the campus of Cornell University. The Bombers were defeated 5-1 by RPI.
The Engineers, ranked No. 34 in Division III, earned two doubles matches win and followed it up with victories in the first three completed singles matches, which clinched the win for RPI. They will go on to play No. 2 Skidmore on Saturday.
Zoe Davis and 
Rebecca Andrews dropped an 8-1 match at No. 1 doubles, while at No. 3, Masha Karach and Brooke Baur bested the duo of 
Sarah Kohberger and 
Eliana Chelnick, 8-2. The Bombers scored a win at No. 2 doubles with 
Taylor Crain and 
Caroline Herz taken down their opponents 8-7 after they won the tiebreaker 8-6.
RPI scored wins at No. 3, No. 4 and Brooke Bauer's match at No. 5 clinched the win as she won 6-1, 6-2 over 
Eliana Chelnick.
Ithaca concludes the 2023 season with an 8-10 record.
