WORCESTER, Mass. – The Ithaca College women's rowing team hit the road for their first road trip of the spring season. The just over five-hour trip allowed the Bombers to face off against some fresh faces such as WPI, Trinity, Clark, Connecticut College, and Colby.
The racing stretched six lanes wide and took place on Lake Quinsigamond. The weather was mixed throughout the day with clouds scattered throughout the sky.
The first race of the day for the Bombers featured the first varsity eight. This week's 1V crew featured

Erin Trojan,
Maggie Farber,
Karley Whalen, and
Devi de Oliveira.
Ithaca faced off against WPI, Trinity, Clark, Connecticut College, and Colby. The Bombers secured a first-place finish with a final time of 7:00.1, edging out WPI by just about a second. Trinity took third place in the race and finished just about six seconds behind the Bombers.
Next up for IC was the second varsity eight. The lineup included

The 2V lined up against Trinity, Clark, Colby, Connecticut College, and WPI. The 2V took first place by a slim four tenths of a second. The Bombers finished with a final time of 7:12.1 compared to the second place Trinity time of 7:12.5.
The last race of the day for Ithaca was the third varsity eight. The crew raced against Trinity, WPI, Clark, and Connecticut College. The Bombers boat featured

The 3V took first place and finished with a final time of 7:33.90. The Bombers edged out Trinity who finished in second place and went 7:39.5.
Overall, it was a day full of winning for the team in Worcester, Massachusetts. Each crew secured gold and won their respective races. The team swept in every category that they competed in.
For the Bombers, the team will train throughout the week for next weekend's race with Hamilton College. The team will travel to Clinton, N.Y. for a head-to-head competition with the Continentals next Saturday. Racing is scheduled to begin around 10 a.m.
